2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 eggs, room temperature

1 teaspoon salt

4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

For the Cinnamon Filling:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

For the Cream Cheese Glaze:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 tablespoons milk (for desired consistency)

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Dough

1. In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

2. Add sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt. Mix until combined.

3. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.

4. Knead for about 5-7 minutes (by hand or with a dough hook) until the dough is smooth and elastic.

5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until a spreadable paste forms.

Step 3: Roll and Fill

1. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a lightly floured surface.

2. Roll the dough into a large rectangle (about 16x12 inches).

3. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

4. Tightly roll the dough from the long side into a log.

Step 4: Cut and Rise Again

1. Slice the roll into 12 even pieces and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

2. Cover with a towel and let them rise again for about 30 minutes, until puffy.

Step 5: Bake

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.

Step 6: Make the Glaze & Serve

1. While the rolls bake, mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.

2. Once the cinnamon rolls are out of the oven, spread the glaze over warm rolls.

3. Serve warm and enjoy!

Tip: For an overnight option, prepare the rolls up to the second rise, cover, and refrigerate overnight. Let them come to room temperature before baking in the morning!
